On 24th April, in the beautiful coastal city of Dalian, Hisun Animal Healthcare and China Guide Dog Dalian Training Base jointly held an activity of " Guide Dog Protection Plan" with the product Moxidectin imidacloprid spot on solution (Moaijia), to celebrate the 15th anniversary of International Guide Dog Day.

Love Lecture Hall - Spreading Public Welfare Knowledge about Guide Dogs

The teacher from Dalian Guide Dog Base gave a live lecture on the basic knowledge of guide dogs, during the interactive explanation, we learned that there are currently 17 million visually impaired people in China, but there are only about 300 guide dogs, which is very scarce.

Guide dogs need to undergo multiple exams from birth to a successful service, and each exam will exclude a large number of dogs that do not meet the requirements. Finally, they have to be bonded with qualified visually impaired people for more than 40 days before they can be formally put into service. And the service life of guide dogs is only 6-10 years, which shows that the development of guide dogs in China is really a long way to go.

Dark Experience - Simulating the Daily Situation of Visually Impaired People

At the activity site, the experiencer needed to put on an eye mask to simulate the daily situation of the visually impaired person, and with the guidance of the guide dog, bypass the obstacles and reach the seat to sit down. For us, this is a small thing, but it is quite difficult for visually impaired people, fortunately, with the guidance of a guide dog, it can be completed successfully, this is a brand-new experience for the experiencer, and at the same time, they deeply felt the difficulty of blind people going out. Base Visit - Understanding the Daily Training of Guide Dogs

The personnel from Dalian Guide Dog Base led us to visit the kennel of the guide dogs to fully understand the daily training life of the guide dogs. Each dog needs to be trained for 1-1.5 years, with 40 minutes to 1 hour of basic training and comprehensive quality training per day. So it is true that a guide dog that can serve is selected after a long process. We salute to the staff and dogs who are working hard for the cause of guide dogs.

Love Donation - Together guarding guide dogs

Through the concerted efforts of the entire network, we had achieved a total of 100,000 lights. Hisun Animal Healthcare donated a total of 100,000 yuan worth of pet medicine to the China Guide Dog Dalian Training Base, successfully completed the mission goal of the "Guide Dog Protection Plan" and made a contribution to the health of our guide dogs.
